“I'm extremely disappointed with this host. I had a 3-day stopover in Dubai, but my flight was turned around mid-air and returned to origin due to airspace closure caused by the conflict in the Middle East — something completely beyond my control. I never used the apartment. I found myself in a terrifying situation — my travel plans completely fell apart and I lost a lot of money rebooking flights. The least I expected was some understanding from the host. Instead, they refunded only $80 of the $520 I paid. No empathy, no flexibility — just strict policy. What makes it even worse is that Airbnb themselves were ready to cover all costs and fees — the host simply refused to cooperate. For comparison, a hotel in Sri Lanka with even stricter rules fully refunded me when I explained my situation. Sadly, I chose this place with trust and got nothing in return. Peace to everyone.”
